EDITING

A developmental edit is a big-picture assessment of your manuscript that evaluates structure, plot, and characterization among other elements.

PROOFREADING

Proofreading is a detailed line edit covering grammar, punctuation, spelling, and other technical inconsistencies.

LINE EDITING

Line editing is a detail-oriented edit that focuses less on overall plot, and covers the more nuanced aspects of your manuscript on a line-by-line basis.

BETA READING

Beta reading is a first-impressions based service that does not include manuscript edits. It is an assessment fixated on the overall plot of your manuscript as well as general readability.

Can I get a sample edit?

Absolutely! Contact me here or send an email to cassandra.perez.writing@gmail.com letting me know what kind of edit you're interested in and I'll send you a sample edit so you can get a better idea of what my services look like.

Do you edit non-fiction?

Yes, I do offer editorial services for non-fiction. 

Does this cost money?

Yes, I charge for my editorial services. Please keep in mind, I like to work with clients to find a rate that we both find fair and agreeable. For more information, check out my rates page.

Can you help get my manuscript published?

Unfortunately, I cannot ensure that your manuscript will get published. However, I can offer my editorial services; which exist to help your manuscript get into stellar condition if you ever decide to seek publication.

Does my manuscript need to be finished?

 No, it does not! I am here to help you through any stage of the writing process. This includes finished and non-finished work. If you are interested in working together on a chapter by chapter basis, please reach out through my contact page or email me at cassandra.perez.writing@gmail.com
